What is the MN Pastors’ Network?
The Minnesota Pastors’ Network is a group of like-minded, conservative pastors who are concerned with the direction our nation is headed. According to research specialist George Barna, only 6% of Americans hold to a Biblical worldview. Unless we work to change that, we continue to be headed in the wrong direction.
Since pastors are called to be the moral leaders of our society, our “watchmen on the wall,” one of our roles is to be informed with accurate information regarding the attacks by our governmental and political leaders against our biblical worldview and freedoms as American citizens. For instance, when we are faced with ever-increasing critical religious freedom issues, our MN Pastors’ Network becomes the group to sound the alarm, make ourselves heard, and relay critical information to our congregations and peers in ministry.
Our plans are to do the following:
- Send out weekly emails sounding the alarm on key issues and news affecting pastors and churches.
- During the session, have monthly gatherings of pastors at the Minnesota Capitol to meet and pray with legislators.
Scripture is clear. It is time we unite together.
Proverbs 11:14 — “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.”
1 Peter 5:1 — “Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.“
1 Thessalonians 2:3-4 — “For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.”
Matthew 7:15-20 — “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
