On June 10th, the Patriots for Jesus Freeborn County Community Action Team held its flag dedication ceremony at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. The event started with the presentation of the colors by the Albert Lea VFW and American Legion color guard. Community and faith leaders spoke in prayer to bless and dedicate the flag presentation!
In reflecting on the symbolism of the American Flag, Matt Benda commented, “May these flags serve as a reminder of God’s blessings, the sacrifices of those who came before us, and our responsibility to leave a stronger community and a stronger nation for those who follow.”
The flags will fly from Flag Day, through the Fourth of July Weekend, and during the week of the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.
